She is one of very few Phoenix born in Juandalynn after the great curse was laid and they were trapped in human form, so her life experiences are quite different from it's other inhabitants. Her education about the outside World of Mortals is a patchwork of information gleaned from books and the anecdotes of her elders, and so is a bit skewed. In Juandalynn royal titles are passed through the female line so she will eventually take the throne.
